Maiden of the sun in January

This maiden of the sun popped up yesterday in our Polytunnel. Perfect in every way. It filled us full of hope for 2020. Not only is is beautiful but so full of possibilities, it is so useful for; Pest control, nectar for bees, food for us, decorative flowers, natural dye's, beauty products, medicines, natural antiseptic/anti-inflammatory, antioxidant. Even said to have the powers of protection and prophecy! Calendula Officinalis - The Marigold we salute you!
